Gig tonight! And I... love... it! It's like i've drank ten cups of strong black coffee. i was in a meeting earlier and was ranting on at too fast a speed about my ideas for "centralising avr development onto a new web server", which i hadn't even considered before, stuff was coming in my head and i was saying it without even thinking about it... people didn't look at me like i was a freak.
I get very excited about playing gigs... i operate at much higher level of energy and mental ability.
Got home late last night, accidentally pissed. Ripped audio for music before we play, but concluded it was probably not safe to work on the backing track, and so off to bed for a few hours sleep and then the alarm at 5:45am... it was night time, it was cold, i felt like death. "it's like going on holiday" i vainly tried to tell myself. But after i had a shower, the excitement started. i couldn't find the files for the corrupted backing track, so i had to open up the song in cubase, and make a new one... and whilst i was at it i couldn't resist making some changes and adding some sfx.
Reasonance Association were good last night, the first track worked well... not so sure about the second one... after we talked about doing a live improvisation with them some time... as long as del's up for it of course.
So yes gig tonight, first gig with the new lineup, WELWYN GARDEN CITY, starts 8:30pm, the running order will be decided by random number generator, and we've got a surprise... (no, not my cock) anyone in need of crash space, the spare bed and the sofa bed have gone... but we've still a sofa, and inflatable mattress type thing on the floor... let me know!
